Racesuits and Overalls
What kart racer doesn't want one of these? All of a sudden you go from looking like a Mario brother to a seasoned professional racing driver.
Seriously though, a race suit should be one of your first purchases if you intend to get into karting. It saves you the bother of trying to find a suit that fits fat the track, they offer a bit more protection and you can be happy in the knowledge that all the bood sweat and tears in the fabric is all yours.

Alpinestars - K-MX3
Feel more like a pro racedriver than a plumber in one easy step. Benefits are that the suit will be the most comfortable thing you have worn so far and offer more padding, so you will be able to race harder for longer…

Sparco - Jarno
This race suit has been designed in conjunction with Jarno Trulli and is made of a high sheen abrasion resistant material. The shoulder, back and hip areas have an integrated padding to aid comfort and the tri-colour design will certainly stand you out in a crowd.

Sparco - Rookie
If budget is a major concern there are few alterntaives to look at. 'The Rookie' from Sparco is perfectly good and you'll see Jules racing around in something similar. Lined to save your bacon if you fall out but vented aswell to keep cool.
New Racesuit Manufacturer coming for 2007 www.xsuit.com
These guys are new to the UK, apparently big in Japan though (dodgy 80's haircuts are optional). They will be doing more than just suits but they're the fun bits. Especially when you find out that they're all geared up to make one-off designs just for you. The fabric is not the usual 'soft touch' feel, but is more of a canvas and would probably stand up to some serious abuse on the track.
